After the success of the Rugby 7s competition held in Hughenden in previous years, we plan to make this year's carnival even bigger & better. We expect to see 18 teams registered in this year’s competition, with Women’s Rugby Union as well as Men’s. The HR7s competition is a great family day out.
The Rugby 7s competition attracts young men and women from around our country who played and loved Rugby at their schools. However, due to distance and work commitments, they no longer have the opportunity to play regular in sport & competitions. Many of these young men or women now manage properties and businesses in these rural communities, and this weekend provides the opportunity to bring together people from far and wide. The Rugby 7s committee looks forward to hosting teams from across the state.
